Gcup Privacy Policy — Data Protection & Information Security You

Gcup takes every member's privacy seriously. This policy clearly explains how we collect, store, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with Malaysian law.

All personal data at gcup is protected with 256-bit SSL encryption. We do not sell or rent your information to third parties for marketing purposes. Last updated: 1 January 2026.

Six Core Principles Data Protection gcup

We built the gcup platform with privacy as a priority, not an afterthought. Here are the six core principles that underpin how we handle your data.

256-Bit SSL Encryption

Every data exchange between your device and gcup's servers is encrypted using the latest TLS protocol with 256-bit encryption. This means your login credentials, card details, and transaction data cannot be intercepted by any third party.

Secure Data Storage

Your personal data is stored on servers protected by multi-layered access controls. Only authorized personnel with a legitimate need are permitted to access such information, and every access is logged for audit purposes.

Full Privacy Control

You have full control over your personal data. Through your gcup account settings, you can update personal information, manage communication preferences, and request data deletion at any time.

No Data Sales

Gcup has never and will never sell, rent, or transfer your personal data to advertisers or third-party data brokers. Your data belongs to you — it is not a business commodity.

Legal Compliance

The gcup Privacy Policy is drafted in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) Malaysia and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements. We update this policy periodically to ensure ongoing compliance.

Breach Notification

In the event of any security incident involving your data, gcup is committed to notifying you within 72 hours of detection, in line with global data protection best practices.

Gcup understands the importance of your data privacy. We do not sell, rent, or disclose your personal data to third parties for their own marketing purposes. However, there are limited situations where we need to share your information with certain parties to enable the platform to operate securely and remain legally compliant.

  • Payment Service Providers: Required financial information is shared with trusted payment providers such as DuitNow, FPX, and e-wallet providers to process your transactions.
  • Identity Verification Providers: KYC documents are shared with approved third-party identity verification services to meet legal compliance requirements.

4. Data Security & Encryption

The security of your data is gcup's top priority. We implement a multi-layered security framework encompassing technical, administrative, and physical safeguards to protect your personal data from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

  • Encryption of data in transit using TLS 1.3 protocol with a 256-bit cipher suite for all communications between your browser and gcup's servers.
  • Encryption of data at rest — all sensitive data is encrypted in the database using the AES-256 encryption algorithm.
  • Two-factor authentication (2FA) is available and strongly encouraged for all gcup accounts to add an extra layer of security.
  • Round-the-clock system monitoring by gcup's cybersecurity team to detect and respond to threats in real time.
  • Strict internal access controls — gcup staff can only access data necessary to perform their role.
  • Regular security audits by independent third parties to identify and address potential system vulnerabilities.

Your bank card and e-wallet details are never stored on gcup's servers. All payment processing is handled directly by trusted, PCI-DSS certified payment providers, ensuring your financial details remain fully protected.

While we take all reasonable steps to protect your data, no security system can be guaranteed 100% secure. You also have a responsibility to protect your account by using a strong password, not sharing your login credentials, and keeping your device updated with the latest security patches.
